DSRailTech is a Prague-based company specializing in providing diagnostic systems to the railway industry.
Our vision is to deliver cutting edge diagnostic systems to railway operators across the world that will increase safety as well as reduce operating costs.
Team of highly skilled and experienced professionals based in Prague, Czech Republic and in Košice, Slovakia with a track record of delivering solutions of highest quality into the most demanding industries.
We have an internal team of R&D specialists, thereby ensuring continuous development of our solutions with the latest advancements in critical scientific areas.
We provide diagnostic systems which can detect anomalies happening on rail tracks, together with providing myriad metrics about the behavior of rolling stock.

José Arturo Lozano Angulo
Head of Research & Development
José Lozano has two master’s degrees from renowned universities in Mexico (La Salle University) and Denmark (The Technical University of Denmark). His knowledge includes acoustics, intelligent computing, software development, electronics and robotics. Mr. Lozano has significant experience developing novel technologies for the railway industry. He also has hands-on experience in the patenting process.
Ladislav Smatana
CEO / Chairman of the BoD
Ladislav Smatana is a computer scientist and business developer with broad experience across multiple industries, with a specific focus on the railway industry. Past roles incudes IT Project Manager, IT Manager, CTO, and further managerial roles. Mr. Smatana also was instrumental in a successful exit of a young IT company and has significant international work experience.
Samuel Kupka
CTO / Member of the supervisory board
Samuel Kupka is a software engineer and received his Masters degree from Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice, majoring in computer science. His expertize include network security, distributed and parallel systems, safety critical systems. Samuel´s work includes distributed payment systems and systems for intelligent buildings and wireless identification systems. Mr. Kupka is an experienced C/C++ programmer with a deep understanding of databases, distributed and parallel systems, computer networks, operating systems and hardware.
Petra Dziak
COO / Member of the supervisory board
Petra is a mechanical engineer with more than 8 years of experience in the manufacturing industry in the field of technical assessment, especially in rolling stock (RST), quality management system and HR. Petra has experience in several technical and non-technical areas as Quality assurance, developing Quality activities, FMECA, FMEA, APQP, 8D, 5S, BMK systems, etc. She also has international experience audits and tests for local and European suppliers. Experience based on quality control and quality assurance against ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 19011, ISO 27001 and IRIS certifications process and specific standard.
Jaroslav Gallo
Head of HW Development
Jaroslav Gallo received his Masters and PHD degrees at the Technical University of Košice, with a specialization in radio-electronics. Jaro has broad experience in designing electronics to several heavy industries requiring the electronics to meet the highest standards and certifications. Jaro’s experience include electronics for technological weights, telemetric and transfer of data via GSM and measure the load on the wheels of remote controlled robotic vehicles.

Business Advisor
Peter Stegmaier is s serial entrepreneur and holds a Ph.D. in Robotics from ETH Zürich. Dr. Stegmaier has vested top management positions in various companies, specializing in global business development and product-market strategies. His experience includes successfully running the Rail and Underground business of Leica Geosystems.
